Upstate Eight - River recap November 13, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Upstate Eight - River this week, Batavia beat Rolling Meadows 48-13. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.

Batavia took down the Mustangs 48-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Micah Coffey threw for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 27 yards during the win.

Dennis Piron's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Anthony Scaccia contributed 143 yards. Jordan Zwart helped Batavia's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.

The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Coffey and Michael Moffatt proved to be unstoppable against Rolling Meadows, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Zwart helped Batavia's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 46 yards.

He went 17-27 with 1 interception.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Pace Temple. The Geneva star has 37 catches for 799 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Lake Forest, Coffey is short just 164 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season. Accruing a total of 23 touchdowns this year, Coffey has thrown for 1,836 yards with 7 interceptions.

East made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,976 from 3,278.
