After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nease, Ponte Vedra was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Atlantic Coast Stingrays 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Sharks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aoife Weaver spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ponte Vedra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Shin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Shin has posted since back in April of 2024.

Ponte Vedra's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Atlantic Coast, they moved to 15-2 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Ponte Vedra will take on Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Coast, they will venture away from home to challenge Bishop Kenny at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Stingrays surely won't give up without a fight.
