Volleyball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Roane County Yellowjackets. If the Chiefs were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Roane County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Sequoyah will take on Tellico Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Roane County will be paying especially close attention to the Chiefs' game: after the Chiefs face off against McMinn County, they'll take on Roane County again at 6:00 p.m. on September 11.
