Softball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Woodruff Wolverines

The Union County Yellowjackets will face off against the Woodruff Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Union County proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 17) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Chesnee 3-2.

Meanwhile, Woodruff unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chapman.

Union County pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Woodruff, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Union County beat Woodruff 4-1 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
