Basketball Recap: St. John Lutheran Takes a Loss

St. John Lutheran lost against Belleview back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. John Lutheran Saints were beaten by the Belleview Rattlers 50-20. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, St. John Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gracie Sue Rice went 5 for 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

St. John Lutheran now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Belleview, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

St. John Lutheran will welcome Ocala Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Belleview, they will head out to take on Citrus at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
