Football Recap: Shoreland Lutheran Pacers vs. St. Joseph Lancers
Shoreland Lutheran couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Pacers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 288th, while the Lancers are ranked 98th).
A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Zach Rizzo and his top target Dominic Rinaldi. Rizzo threw for 258 yards and five touchdowns while Rinaldi picked up 192 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Rinaldi's longest reception was for an incredible 83 yards.
Shoreland Lutheran will face off against Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shoreland Lutheran is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for St. Joseph, they will host St. Catherine's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
