Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to the Wahlert Golden Eagles. If the River Kings were looking for revenge after losing 11-2 to the Golden Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wahlert, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Clinton has already played their next matchup, a 13-2 defeat against Anamosa on the 14th. As for Wahlert, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Cedar Falls on the 13th.
