Basketball Recap: Maranacook Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Maranacook entered their game against Hall-Dale on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Maranacook Black Bears took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hall-Dale Bulldogs. The Black Bears lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-23 score last time.

Maranacook's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Hall-Dale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maranacook will host Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hall-Dale, they will welcome Waterville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hall-Dale is facing Waterville at the right time seeing as Waterville is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
