Baseball Recap: Orestimba Sets Scoring Season-High Against Stone Ridge Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orestimba). They were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over the Stone Ridge Christian Knights on Tuesday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Payton Marcotte made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Marcotte was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Donovan Torres was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. Kevin Moreno also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Orestimba was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Orestimba and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Orestimba and Stone Ridge Christian will both be playing Gustine the next time they take the field. Orestimba will host Gustine at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Stone Ridge Christian will host them at 3:30 p.m. on March 4th.
