Baseball Recap: Viburnum Takes a Loss

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bunker Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 16-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Viburnum's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Bunker, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Viburnum didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 victory against Summersville on the 6th. As for Bunker, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Lesterville on the 5th.
