Conant is 8-2 against Rolling Meadows since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rolling Meadows came up short against Buffalo Grove on Wednesday and fell 6-2. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly four runs.

Will Fiore made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12-1. As for Rolling Meadows, they dropped their record down to 18-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Conant hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rolling Meadows struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
