West Wendover is 8-2 against Silver Stage since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Nighthawks at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

West Wendover fell victim to Battle Mountain and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 16-0 to the Longhorns. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Silver Stage was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Oasis Academy, falling 21-4.

Silver Stage saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Broughton, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Broughton also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

West Wendover's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Silver Stage, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Wendover has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .649. However, it's not like Silver Stage struggles in that department as they've averaged .563. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
