Basketball Game Preview: South Side Hornet vs. Quitman Bulldogs

South Side is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Quitman is on a seven-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Hornet will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, South Side beat Rose Bud 61-51.

Meanwhile, Quitman blew past Fordyce, posting a 63-20 victory. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Quitman's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for South Side, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

South Side was dealt a bruising 53-26 loss at the hands of Quitman in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Hornet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
