Basketball Recap: Crossett Takes a Loss

Crossett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-8 loss at the hands of the Dumas Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Bobcats are ranked 53rd).

Crossett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Dumas, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Crossett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bearden at 7:30 a.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Dumas, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-43 win against Warren on the 21st.
