Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian lost against Kearny Christian Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Faith Christian fell to Kearny Christian Academy 59-55. Faith Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Faith Christian still got an impressive performance from Joeraan Williams, who posted 21 points. That was a full 38.2% of Faith Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row Williams has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Gonzalez, who had 13 points.

Kearny Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Leo Kargbo, who earned 24 points and four steals. Kargbo's afternoon made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Tyler Lima was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Kearny Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Faith Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kearny Christian Academy, they will square off against American Christian School at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with American Christian School sitting on five straight victories and Kearny Christian Academy on three.
