Baseball Game Preview: Sierra Stallions vs. Palmer Terrors

Sierra hasn't had much luck against Palmer recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Stallions will welcome the Terrors at 4:00 p.m. Sierra has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sierra is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 17th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Colorado Springs Christian. On the bright side, the 11- run performance marked the Stallions' highest-scoring contest to date.

Rodrigo Marquez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing eight bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Daniel Dallas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 4-for-4.

Meanwhile, Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodland Park.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Palmer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
