Baseball Recap: Fordham Prep Takes a Loss

Fordham Prep lost against Monsignor Farrell back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Rams fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fordham Prep got a good showing from Joaquin DelPino, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. DelPino has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jack McKillop made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Fordham Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Monsignor Farrell, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fordham Prep will square off against St. Peter's at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monsignor Farrell, they will challenge All Hallows at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Gaels at the right time seeing as the Gaels are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
