Baseball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Takes a Loss

Bishop Fenwick had taken Archbishop Williams down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Bishops by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Fenwick and nudges their season record down to 1-5. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Archbishop Williams, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Fenwick will square off against Saugus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archbishop Williams, they will challenge St. John Paul II at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bishops surely won't give up without a fight.
