Volleyball Recap: Greendale Panthers vs. Muskego Warriors

Greendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muskego Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Their offense was headlined by Sophie Latus and Kayleigh Kowalke, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Claire Endter and her three assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Muskego to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Nevins, who had four digs and three aces. Nevins is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Ellie Vantholen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Greendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Muskego, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-13 record this season.

Greendale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Edgerton on the 4th. As for Muskego, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Green Bay Preble on the 4th.
