Baseball Game Preview: Destin Sharks vs. Bozeman Bucks

Destin is 0-5 against Bozeman since April of 2023 but things could change on Thursday. The Sharks will look to defend their home field against the Bucks at 6:00 p.m.

Destin fell victim to Lighthouse Private Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stingrays.

Meanwhile, Bozeman was able to grind out a solid victory over Cottondale on Friday, taking the game 7-2. The Bucks haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Bozeman let Cash Zirkle and Zac Flitcraft run wild. Zirkle went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Flitcraft scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Flitcraft has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brooks Skipper, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Bozeman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cottondale only managed five hits.

Bozeman's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Destin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
