Soccer Recap: Orthopaedic Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Orthopaedic rose to the challenge on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the East Valley Falcons 3-2. That's two games straight that the Vipers have won by just one goal.

Roger Mendoza and Michael Maga?a scored all three of Orthopaedic's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Orthopaedic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those seven games. East Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

Coming up, Orthopaedic will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Downtown Magnets at 11:00 a.m. Downtown Magnets will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Orthopaedic surely won't give up without a fight. East Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
