Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Christian Takes a Loss

Santa Fe Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Jolla Country Day Torreys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Torreys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 last Monday.

Logan Moran was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Colin Roche was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Santa Fe Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for La Jolla Country Day, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

While Santa Fe Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
