Providence Grove barely beat Chatham Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Providence Grove Patriots never let the Chatham Charter Knights get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Wednesday. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Providence Grove now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Chatham Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Grove will square off against Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.88 runs per game on average), something Providence Grove will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chatham Charter, they will face off against North Moore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Moore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13 runs per game this season.
