Softball Recap: Upper Lake Takes a Loss

Upper Lake lost a heartbreaker to Lower Lake when they met back in March of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. The Cougars lost 12-0 to the Trojans. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Upper Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lower Lake, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upper Lake will challenge Middletown at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.4 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lower Lake, they will face off against Clear Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
