Jack Britt hasn't had much luck against South View recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Jack Britt will welcome South View at 7:00 p.m. Jack Britt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Last Friday, Jack Britt came up short against Gray's Creek and fell 9-6.
Ta'Niyah Turner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Emma Sandoval, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, South View got the win against Cape Fear on Friday by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
JORDYNN PARNELL made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, PAIGE FORD was incredible, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4.
South View lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cape Fear didn't launched any home runs.
Jack Britt's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for South View, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Jack Britt's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. Jack Britt has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for South View, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jack Britt continue to outrun the ball?
Jack Britt might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from South View when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Jack Britt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
