Football Recap: Salem Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Salem unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Centralia Orphans 42-0 on Friday. The Wildcats lost against the Orphans in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 42-35 score last time.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will face off against Richland County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Centralia, they will square off against Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
