Baseball Recap: Dowagiac Comes Up Short

Dowagiac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 12-7 to the Buchanan Bucks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on Wednesday.

Lamone Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that he got this season. Hayden Groth was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Dowagiac's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Buchanan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dowagiac will face off against Three Rivers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Buchanan, they will be playing at home against Kalamazoo Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
