Basketball Recap: Atkinson County Comes Up Short

Atkinson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 45-35 to the Lanier County Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-31 last Monday.

Atkinson County's record is now 6-17. As for Lanier County, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Atkinson County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lanier County, they and Irwin County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Lanier County is facing Irwin County at the right time seeing as Irwin County is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
