Volleyball Recap: Harpeth Comes Up Short

Harpeth was the 2-1 winner over Riverdale when they last played one another on Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Warriors on Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Riverdale scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Riverdale can attribute much of their success to Bre Putnam, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Putnam has posted over her last five games.

Harpeth's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Riverdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-17.

Looking ahead, Harpeth is taking a road trip to challenge Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverdale, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Hume-Fogg on the 20th.
