Basketball Recap: Huntley Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Huntley won against Thornridge last Saturday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Huntley Red Raiders walked away with a 51-40 victory over the Hononegah Indians. For the Red Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 65-62 win the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Huntley, bringing their record for this year to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Hononegah, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntley will welcome Crystal Lake South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hononegah, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Belvidere at 7:15 p.m. Hononegah is facing Belvidere at the right time seeing as Belvidere is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
