Baseball Recap: Parker's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Parker entered their tilt with Wenonah on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wenonah Dragons 16-3. The Thundering Herd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Conellrious Scott made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Parker: the team is 6-3 when he allows at most three hits, but 4-5 otherwise. Scott was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Parker got a massive performance out of Ashton Finley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Adrian Brown was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Parker always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Parker and Wenonah could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Parker (ranked 263rd) will meet Mountain Brook (ranked ninth) at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parker has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Similarly, Wenonah will square off against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 339 places (361 vs. 22).
