Basketball Recap: Woodrow Wilson Comes Up Short

Woodrow Wilson was the 66-64 winner over Woodbridge when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Wednesday. The contest marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Woodbridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiden Sabino out in front who shot 78% from the field to rack up 18 points and four steals. The game was Sabino's 14th in a row with at least 16 points. Garrett DiCostanzo was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 19 points and nine boards.

Woodrow Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Woodbridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Woodrow Wilson has already played their next contest, a 54-45 victory against Dana Hills on the 29th. As for Woodbridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-33 win against Capistrano Valley on the 1st.
