Softball Recap: Great Mills Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Charles last Friday, Great Mills came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Calvert Cavaliers on Wednesday, falling 14-4. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 19-4 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Great Mills' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Calvert, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Great Mills will square off against Lackey on Friday. As for Calvert, they will face off against North Point at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
