Softball Recap: Foundation Christian Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Foundation Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Carrollwood Day Patriots 9-7. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Raeghan Ramsey made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makayla Howard, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Raegan Goble, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Foundation Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Foundation Christian Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7. As for Carrollwood Day, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Foundation Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Berean Christian on the 11th. As for Carrollwood Day, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Cambridge Christian on the 14th.
