Volleyball Recap: LaGrange Comes Up Short

LaGrange extended their losing streak to eight on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-12. They came up short against the Sandy Creek Patriots, falling 3-0. The Grangers were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Sandy Creek, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 16, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Sandy Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendall Davidson led the charge by getting 15 digs and two assists. With that strong performance, Davidson is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Mitchell, who had six digs and two aces.

LaGrange has already played their next contest (against Troup County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sandy Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Druid Hills on the 11th.
