Softball Recap: Washington County Comes Up Short

Washington County blew Bardstown out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Sunday Bardstown got their revenge. The Commanders fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 18-16. The Commanders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 21-10.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Bardstown, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 6-12.

Washington County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bardstown, they will challenge Nelson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
