Baseball Recap: Parrish Community Gets the Win

Parrish Community lost to Riverview Sarasota back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Parrish Community Bulls walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Riverview Sarasota Rams.

Vince Barry looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, Ja'Brien Quiles was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Tyler Brown also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Parrish Community's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Riverview Sarasota, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Parrish Community will be playing at home against Bayshore at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Parrish Community's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Bayshore has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will head out to take on Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Out-of-Door Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Riverview Sarasota's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
