Preview: Harrison Hoyas vs. McEachern Indians
Harrison is 1-7 against McEachern since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Harrison Hoyas will head out on the road to face off against the McEachern Indians at 6:00 a.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Harrison earned a 61-53 win over Marietta.
Meanwhile, McEachern faced North Paulding in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McEachern sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-43 victory over North Paulding on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win McEachern has posted yet this season.
Harrison's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for McEachern, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.
Harrison suffered a grim 56-32 defeat to McEachern when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Harrison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
