Soccer Game Preview: Rudder vs. Montgomery

Rudder hasn't had much luck against Montgomery recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rudder Rangers will challenge the Montgomery Bears at 7:00 p.m. Rudder will be strutting in after a victory while Montgomery will be coming in after a loss.

Rudder's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Brenham with a sharp 3-0 win. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Cubs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Rudder hit Brenham with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Enrique Tirado-Lopez, Everardo Garcia, and Santiago Lugo.

Meanwhile, Montgomery fell victim to A&M Consolidated and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Tigers are ranked 84th).

Montgomery now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Rudder, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
