Basketball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

Solon lost against Cathedral Prep back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Solon Comets lost 72-51 to the Cathedral Prep Ramblers. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 401st in Ohio, while the Ramblers are ranked 79th in Pennsylvania).

Solon is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16. As for Cathedral Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Solon will take on Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Solon is facing Nordonia at the right time seeing as Nordonia is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Cathedral Prep has already played their next match (against Erie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
