Volleyball Recap: North Summit Comes Up Short

North Summit managed to slip by North Sanpete the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Braves came up short against the Hawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Braves have suffered since September 10, 2024.

North Summit took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-21.

Ellie Stephens paced North Summit's offense, picking up 15 kills. Stephens got some help from Kate Smith and her 29 assists. Finally, Stephens was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

North Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Sanpete, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, North Summit is taking a road trip to face off against Union at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Sanpete, they will host Spanish Fork at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
