Basketball Recap: Batavia Has No Trouble Against Glenbard North

Batavia won the last time they faced Glenbard North and things went their way on Thursday too. The Batavia Bulldogs put the hurt on the Glenbard North Panthers with a sharp 48-25 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Panthers are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hallie Crane was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Warner, who posted nine points and four steals.

Batavia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Batavia's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Glenbard North, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.

Batavia has already played their next contest (against Rolling Meadows), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Glenbard North will venture away from home to challenge Buffalo Grove at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
