Cascade blew Grundy County out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Grundy County got their revenge. The Champions fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 5-3. The Champions' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Jordan Childress put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Childress wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Crouch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-1. As for Grundy County, their win bumped their record up to 5-16.

Coming up, Cascade will head out to face off against Battle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Champions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
