Softball Recap: Colton Takes a Loss

If Colton was riding high fresh off their 15-4 takedown of Asotin last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 15-3 to the Orofino Maniacs on Thursday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maniacs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Lola Walsborn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Mere Bell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Colton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Orofino, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Colton beat the Maniacs by a score of 10-6 later that day.
