Baseball Recap: Bartram Trail Comes Up Short

Bartram Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Oviedo Lions. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Bartram Trail got a good showing from Logan Wells, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Wells gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Colt Brown was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.

Bartram Trail's record now sits at 5-8. As for Oviedo, they moved to 5-10 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Coming up, Bartram Trail will take on Atlantic Coast in a tournament on Wednesday. Atlantic Coast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Oviedo, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lake Mary at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
