Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Victorious

West Jefferson's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Roughriders, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Jefferson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-19.

Julia Beatty paced West Jefferson's offense, picking up 22 kills. Beatty got some help from Mary Ava Wills and her 18 assists. Marissa Vance controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Cardington-Lincoln lost, don't look at Lillia Roesky. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and two aces. Roesky is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

West Jefferson now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Cardington-Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

As of now, neither West Jefferson nor Cardington-Lincoln have any future games scheduled.
