Basketball Recap: Hendrick Hudson Beats John Jay for Their Second Straight Win

John Jay came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Hendrick Hudson, but Kaitlyn Raguso wouldn't allow it. The Hendrick Hudson Sailors blew past the John Jay Wolves 59-37 on Thursday thanks in part to Raguso, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.7 points per game.

Kate Stratton was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals. Those three steals gave her a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Hendrick Hudson and bumps their season record up to 3-4. As for John Jay, they moved to 6-1 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Hendrick Hudson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westlake on January 6, 2025. John Jay also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Midwood at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
