The Pulaski County Cougars will challenge the William Byrd Terriers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pulaski County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

William Byrd will be up against a hot Pulaski County squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Cougars never let Lord Botetourt get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Addison Puckett was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Puckett was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madolyn Legg, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Carly Hight was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.

Pulaski County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, William Byrd came up short against Lord Botetourt on Tuesday, falling 19-7.

William Byrd's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pulaski County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
