Baseball Recap: Henrietta Triumphs

The third road matchup was the charm for Henrietta, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the Vernon Lions by a score of 5-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Caden Frost spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Pate Cody, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

Henrietta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vernon struck out 14 times.
