Baseball Recap: Tullahoma Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Tullahoma entered their tilt with Marshall County on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-9 on Tuesday.

Andrew Fulmer and Mason Bratcher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Fulmer pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Bratcher struck out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Fulmer went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs, while Bratcher went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Baylan Tuten was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Schmisseur, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Tullahoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Tullahoma's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Marshall County, they dropped their record down to 8-18 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Tullahoma will square off against Moore County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marshall County, they will challenge Forrest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
